Training Day with Hotline

So last year we travelled down to see them in a very sunny Devon

This year we invited them you to East Lothian to a cold and sunless day of training,Sorry guys... It is at this point I will mention we were using Rockrose Equestrian Sports Centre's thanks guys.

So every year we have a training day or 2 on new products (some exciting things to follow) and also try to do as much as possible on our FAQ's so we are tip top on answering your questions.

We started by putting up a 50m  Premium poultry net  it went up very well on the crochet green we used but we did add in 4 Extra strong corner posts. we added in a hot gate and attached our Raptor energiser.

We used our trusty KV10 fence tester and only got about 2,000 volts ( not good) so off we went to investigate.

The Battery has power                           Check

All netting off the floor                            Check

All connections nice and tight               Check

No power on the earth stake                Check

Right so what is the problem???

I am not sure who found this but eagle eyes. The netting has been caught in the post so is shorting out due to touching the metal. One fixed we got a good high reading of 8,000 to 9,000 Volts. Good news Mr fox won't like that.....

So once we had the 50 meter up and running I wanted to see the Fire Drake Solar Energiser at work on a net, well you know what I am like always trying to sell you a solar energiser and what better way to do that then to show you it in action.

Now we put up a 25 meter fence to show you the difference between them I ma not sure if you can see in the picture.

Playing with netting and energisers done we moved having a look at 3 reel systems and the posts that go with them using different materials to make the fence.

As you can see we used 10m Tape, 6m Rope and at the bottom out of shot the Polywire.

Lastly before we headed into our secret bit of the meeting Hahahahaha Some new and exciting things to come........
