Mains, Battery or Battery/Solar?

Mains energisers have a greater pool of power to draw from so climb to greater power levels.  Installation of mains energisers is often seen as impractical as many believe a power source is requried to be adjacent to the fence. But by using a lead out cable a mains energiser operates much like a battery energiser. Mains energisers are very cost effective to run and in general are the preferred option.

Battery energisers are extremely portable and offer a range of options from 6v and 9v models with disposable batteries to 12v rechargeable models and solar options or solar assist with solar panels.
